My submission for “The Doctor Who Tumblr Asked For My Autograph”! I’m a Fashion major and for my quilting class, we had to make applique* and pieced** blocks, which would later be made into quilt tops (by essentially just adding the white borders). I decided to make my “fandom” or “nerd” quilt. I decided to crop out the other two hand-sketched applique blocks (Nightwing emblem and mc chris Fett’s Vette logo) since this is a Doctor Who entry :). I hand sketched the template for my TARDIS applique block. It turned out the best out of the three used. *Applique blocks are designs where you cut out your fabric into specific shapes and use specific stitches to assemble and sew the pieces onto the block. For the TARDIS, the windows, light and black sign (where the “Police Box” sign would go), I had to sew them onto the blue box separately before sewing the assembled TARDIS onto the block. **Pieced blocks, what you see on the left and right sides of the TARDIS applique block, are essentially what they are called: you cut up your fabric into specific shapes and sew them together in a certain pattern. It’s very intricate but fun.

Another! Third part to my little project of self-evaluation of my outward appearance and fashion through the years, how it’s evolved, etc. This one is called:The Evolution of Me Through Photos: College Edition, Part 2 This one is from September 2011 to August 2012. Yeah! Oh, and I blocked out other peoples’ faces. I’m sure they would appreciate that. That hand gesture in the first picture up there is “EI” which is our “gang sign” for our chapter of Tau Beta Sigma (yay band!) Aaaaaand I’ll just leave this here.
